Thanks so much. I am glad you like the project. I am planning on putting together a full poster with all of the breeds. I got a new job that takes up a lot more of my time so my progress has been slow, but I am determined to finish it!

I read that after you illustrate akc breeds, you might do some mix breeds. Popular ones like labradoodle and golden doodle might be a BIG hit. I love the illustrations. They are so cute.

Mixes are definitely being considered. I am a huge fan of mutts and have two myself. We will see where this project takes me when I am finished.

I love your designs! I'm wondering if you'd do a poster for Leongerbers? They were inducted to the AKC two years ago and are classified in the working group. I would definitely buy a print or I'd love a t-shirt! Thanks for reading :)

I am working on a few different designs for the final all breed poster. I am going to experiment with some different styles and layouts and hopefully have a few different versions available. It’s a lot more challenging than I thought, but I am looking forward to seeing all of the dogs in one place!

I am also brainstorming of ways to make part of the sales go to a dog related charity. I work closely with It’s The Pits - a bully breed rescue group in San Diego, and have close ties with the Oregon Humane Society as well. I would definitely love to help some dogs out with this project, I am just unsure of how I am going to do it.

You could do Cat breeds when dogs are done? I just call everything that is a cat breed a cat so this could be helpful to some people.

Not a bad idea. I don’t know anything about cat breeds either. To me “cat breeds” are: black cat, orange cat, tabby, smooshed face cat, hairless cat and tailless cat. Haha.

What are you going to do once you're done with this project? Will you work on all breeds, maybe even designers and mutts?

I am still trying to figure this out. I would love to continue this type of project as I really have been enjoying the exploration and simplification of form. I have given some thought to maybe doing some mutts and/or designer breeds and have also given some thought to doing a birds series.

We will see what happens next. But I do know for sure this type of serial illustration will be continuing! Feel free to send suggestions of what you would like to see!

Alright friends! I am almost to the end of the chart. The dogs marked with a red dot are the ones I have illustrated already. I know that this chart is not the most up to date. So if you know of a breed that has been added since this chart came out let me know! Please send me the name of the breed and the group if possible. Once all the dogs are finished I will be designing a chart like the one above and will have them available for sale.

They're the best! In my incredibly biased opinion. She's definitely a mix, but looks mostly Lab. I might also get the BT Coonhound as a gift for my boss' office - he has a female we all just adore.
